In January 2004 we were sitting around at three in the morning listening to The Specials, Madness and Desmond Dekker etc, thinking that something had passed us by.

As far as we were concerned garage was still a place to park your car, fat was still spelt f-a-t, trance was something that happened after ten pints. But most importantly that music didn't seem to sound like it used to, and there were no night clubs playing ska and 2Tone.

So, we thought we would do something about it ..... in March 2004 THE SKA SURGERY was born, entering the world kicking and screaming.

Our idea is also to provide a place where ALL people who love ska and 2Tone music can come to dance, chat and generally skank the night away to the greatest music, in a safe and friendly enviroment. We will also try, via the website, to keep you informed about ska related gigs, events and news that are happening around the globe (well we'll start with the UK ;-).
